The 149th running of the Irish Derby was held on Sunday 28 June 2014 over 1 mile 4 furlongs of The Curragh. Subscriptions were €18,000 with a first prize of €725,000. The winner was owned by Mrs Susan Magnier, Derrick Smith, Michael Tabor and T Ah Khing, bred by Stanley Estate & Stud Company in England, trained by Aidan O'Brien at Ballydoyle, and ridden by Joseph O'Brien. The winner won by 2 1/2 lengths in 2 minutes 33.19 seconds, with 2 1/2 lengths between second and third.
